Rain Room

To keep up the theme of This Post...

This is another reason why New York is amazing.

A new interactive exhibit Rain Room opened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, New York. Heavy rain pours down in an enormous room, but when you step into the rain, the area directly over your head dries up. So you can walk, dance and kiss in the rain without getting wet....

"The overall effect is mesmerizing," reported
Gothamist. "A semi-blinding white klieg light at the back of the room disorients your field of vision while highlighting the millions of individual raindrops showering down around you on all sides. The motion sensors are so sensitive that you can sweep your arm through the deluge and still keep your shirt dry. Move too quickly, however, and you can get good and soaked if want."

I wonder what Matt Love would say about this?

Creative Art: Bob Dylan

I'm completely fascinated by Bob Egan's PopSpots, a website dedicated to tracking down the sites of famous films, photographs, and paintings in New York City. "Manhattan is constantly being torn down and rebuilt anew," Bob writes, "And I'm trying to find these places while they are still around."

Among the many, he tracked down sites of Bob Dylan's video and album covers.

The Subterranean Homesick Blues

Bob Dylan holds a special place in my heart. On an off note, I am thinking about a few tattoo ideas. One of them is getting the Bob Dylan Eye somewhere on me.... maybe apart of my quarter sleeve. : )

Self Portrait Every Day For 12 Years

"Jeff Harris has taken more than 4748 self-portraits. For New Year 1999, rather than resolve, to write a diary for the year, Jeff set himself the task of taking a self-portrait every day. The result is an incredible record of his life through the ups and some very significant downs, not just for a year, but for the last 12 years."
