What's Inside: My Makeup Bag

I started wearing makeup in Middle School. I remember my mom getting me brown eyeliner, mascara, and a three shade eyeshadow pallet. She told me not to wear too much. In the past 10 years, my makeup hasn't changed. Some girls love going shopping for makeup, but for me… I get all anxious and sweaty. Seriously… walking down the center of Nordstom could send me into a panic attack. The bright lights and mirrors, and the people that come up to you and either want to spray you with perfume or pick apart your face… NO THANK YOU! It took me years to gain the courage to walk into a SEPHORA

So, when I find makeup I like, I stick to it. Here is what will always be in my bag:

Urban Decay's Naked Eyeshadow Pallet: See HERE
2 bottles of moisturizer: Avalon Organics & Aveeno Tinted.
Sephora Mineral Powder
Jane Iredale's : Disappear Concealer, Bronzer and lip gloss (Candied Rose)
2 CoverGirl Liquid Eyeliners (black & brown)
2 Sephora liquid Eyeliners (Glitter Brown & Fancy Violet)
CoverGirl's LashBlast Mascara (a little bit about me, I HATE FINDING MASCARA)
Oh, and I smell like: COACH Poppy, See HERE

I'm thinking about signing up for BIRCHBOX
That way I wouldn't have to deal with the anxiety of makeup shopping. Oh the wonders of internet shopping….

What's Inside: My Cubicle

Unfortunately,  a majority of my day is spent inside of a box. People in my office like to call it, "Cube Land". I like to call it hell. To get through my day in "cube land" AKA hell, I surround myself with objects that I love and enjoy. Here is what I keep inside my cube.

As you can see: I have a mess of papers. My bamboo. Pilates ball (great for posture). Peace flags. Pictures of the pup, friends, and the boy. In the red bottle is sand from Lincoln City (a little piece of home). A little art work- a painting I did for my final project in my 'Healthy Relationships' class. The giraffe was a gift from my fabulous friend Melinda, and a sexy picture of Eva Mendes (rarr). Ignore the  mess of files. Next we have my five favorite items: Tree Hugger coffee mug, Pittsburg Steelers Post-Its, Obama bobble-head (everyone needs one of these), pink Buddha, and my giraffe dish that holds all my paperclips. Lastly is my Monk-on-a-coil that sits on top of one of my walls. My co-workers like to make him bounce as they pass by.Oh, and behind him is my awesome plant, my giraffe (like giraffes much?) and my business cards, 'cause I am super fancy.

Hey, if you spend 40 hours a week in a 12x10 Cube - might at well make it your own, right?

What's Inside: My (huge ass) purse

My purse is an ENDLESS HOLE!!! I was carrying it around the other day, and my back started to hurt! It's ridiculous. So, I decided to unload it, and see what crazy things were inside. I swear…. I am Mary (Effing) Poppins.

Here's the ENDLESS HOLE

AND….What's inside

Starting from top and going across to the right:
  1. My re-usable shopping bag my co-worker made
  2. My Red wallet with a Peacock on it (thanks Mom)
  3. Sunglasses
  4. Can barely see it - but that's a coffee cup sleeve
  5. Napkins (always need to be prepared)
  6. Pink Glitter nail polish
  7. 1 Tea Bag
  8. Hand sanitizer
  9. Hand Lotion
  10. GUM
  11. Travel Size hairbrush
  12. Holiday Mints, Rootbeer Barrels, and a Cough drop
  13. Yup, that's an Easter egg
  14. 2 Pens
  15. The purple bag are my "City Flats"
  16. Granola Bars - I carry snacks with me, cause I am dating a toddler and he gets cranky when he's hungry. Sorry babe, you know it's true.
  17. Old perfume sample
  18. Splenda
  19. Lip Stain
  20. 2 old tickets from a Seattle U B-Ball Game
  21. My business card holder
  22. Deodorant
  23. Head band

Phew! No wonder my back hurts. The thing is, I feel I NEED all this stuff. Well, maybe not the Easter egg. Seriously….seriously…?
