Super Suck Sunday

SUCKS:
  1. Having to deal with public restroom grossness. Whether it's someone who didn't flush, or a lingering smell... it's surprising how disgusting women's restrooms can be.
  2. April showers. We had plans to go to the Tulip Festival on Saturday, but decided to cancel due to the rain. Hopefully the weather will be better next weekend.
  3. Friday night is usually gym night. So, Friday... we ran a 5K. Remember... I DO NOT RUN!
That's all I can think of .... there's a lot more SUPER going on.

SUPER:

  1. But hey!! I completed my first 5K! Yea, although I absolutely hate running, I was surprised at how well I did. Maybe I'll sign up for a 5K sometime soon. :)
  2. Receiving compliments from complete strangers. C'mon, every girl needs her ego stroked every once in awhile.
  3. My birthday is in 10 days! That's pretty super!
  4. Finding new makeup! I have fallen in love with Bobbi Brown! Her makeup is a bit pricey, but I love how long it lasts and how natural it looks.
  5. Applying for Graduation!!!!! 60 days away!!

Super Suck Sunday

SUCKS
  1. Job searching. I am getting overwhelmed and very anxious with the thought of finding my “next chapter” and the idea of interviewing. This is something I have been anticipating for over a year, and now that it has come.... I'm struggling.
  2. Choosing the wrong jacket. On a day where it was pissing rain with 60 mph winds I chose to wear a down jacket without a hood. I ran all around Seattle looking like a drowned cat, and my ears nearly froze off. I'm not even being dramatic; It was miserable.
  3. I will admit... I am addicted to Pinterest, and I must say: I get super annoyed when the “Fetching Pins” thing takes forever....
  4. Forgetting where you put your keys. Every day this week....
  5. Theo destroying another pair of shoes. BAD DOG! See his past destructions here.

SUPER
  1. One more class session to go. One. More.
  2. Receiving recognition for a job well done. I don't always need it, but getting a “You did great.” feels pretty damn good.
  3. Having a boyfriend who will let me be a fat kid. Earlier this week I chose to have waffles smothered in Nutella for dinner. Noah looked at me and with nothing but love in his eyes said, “You know, inside that hot body of yours is a fat kid crying to get out.” Thanks, love.
  4. Purging your closet. I have a garbage bag stuffed with clothes to give away, and it feels great!
  5. At the risk of being a jerk for finding this utterly hilarious, this poor girl's video made me laugh.

Super Suck Sunday

SUCKS

  • Without being at all dramatic, and in all seriousness.... I think this week was my worst...ever. A minor miscommunication at work has turned into something awful, and I received some bad (will get better with time) news from my parents. Thank goodness I have adaptive coping skills.
  • Spilling coffee all over my phone and keyboard. Seriously?
  • Senioritis. I have just two class sessions left, and my motivation is decreasing with each passing minute. I love the class, but I'm ready to be done!
  • Not having any good music, and desperately hoping Pandora will provide something wonderful. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
  • Seattle parking sucks. Period.

SUPER
  • I met a CrossFit goal! I completed my first workout without using the bands when doing pull-ups. For those who may not understand...just know... this is kind of a big deal!
  • My bestie comes to visit in T-Minus 5 days. At this point, girl time is imperative to my mental health.
  • Received my official graduation audit, and it's perfect. This means: I am set to graduate in June!
  • I finished an amazing book.... more to come on the amazingness of this book.
  • With all the crap that happened this week, Noah was sweet enough to make us dinner and I came home to this gorgeous arrangement.

Super Suck Sunday

Sucks
1) Going 13 days straight without a day off. Today is day 8..... ugh.
2) As a result of number one... I have no idea where I am supposed to be everyday. I literally had to write a reminder on my hand, “Go to work Friday. Don't get on a bus.” Someday I will have a normal routine.
3) Job searching.Nuff said.
4) Our pup may or may not have ingested a 1-inch long plastic needle. In addition, he gnawed on a container of dental floss with no indication of how much floss he ate... equally shitty....
5) Now we are intently monitoring how/what he shits. Awesome

Super
1) Hand sanitizer. Seriously, this stuff is unreal. I feel like it gives my hands a special germ-free forcefield.
2) Nailing a recipe you made up all on your own. I'll share it here soon. Boom.
3) By no means do I think homelessness is funny. Clearly, as I am currently working 20 hours a week at a homeless shelter.... BUT... the sign I saw a guy holding this morning warranted a chuckle. It read: “Need money for SCUBA lessons. Mermaids kidnapped my family.” I handed him $5 just for his creativity.
4) Having something to look forward to.... like graduation...a massage appointment, or a visit from a friend.Makes the daily grind somewhat bearable.
5) I have become increasingly obsessed with Pho'. It's warm, healthy and delicious. I have it at least once a week. I took this photo via my instagram– cute, huh?

I Heart Pho'

Super Suck Sunday

I haven't done one of these for awhile...

SUPER
  1. Pumpkin Bread. I baked a loaf last weekend and was able to much on it all week. Deliciousness.
  2. Seeing people you know in the most random places. Now, this could be super or sucky depending upon the person of course... But in this case it was pretty super.
  3. Realizing that you actually enjoy your job. After spending a week at my internship, I have a new appreciation for my little window-corner-cubical.
  4. Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze fun! We got muddy, we picked pumpkins, we ate corn on the cobb and cider donuts! Couldn't have asked for a better day off.
SUCKS

  1. Torn contact lenses. Ouch!!
  2. A doggy that won't go outside if it's raining. Sure, it's cute when he doesn't want to get wet... But then he decides to poopoo all over your beautiful rug.
  3. Ignorance that promotes hate and inequality. With the currently election, I am seeing lots of it.
  4. Mysterious bruises that appear randomly on your body. I have no idea where they came from, but they are ugly and painful!
Besties since 5th grade!

Super Suck Sunday

SUCKS

  • It sucks that the Bachelorette Finale is on right now, and I haven't been able to keep up with this season… I can't make an educated guess of who she will pick!
  • Getting stuck talking to come weird, creepy dude at a BBQ.
  • Our mid to high 60 degree weather… in JULY…. ugh….
  • This:

SUPER

  • "Cheat Days". We've been eating really well lately, and on Saturdays we let ourselves splurge. Froyo is always our vice…topped with peanut butter and chocolate sauce….
  • We had a laid-back relaxing weekend. We went out to breakfast, went to the Farmer's Market (I got flowers, Noah got kettle corn) and Costco! Fun stuff.
  • Oh, we also saw BATMAN!! It was more than super!
  • Growing up as a 90's child. I "pinned" THIS SWEETNESS on Pinterest and it just reminded me of how super growing up in the 90's was!!

Super Suck Sunday

Super

  • Another quarter down. 2 more classes… 2. More. Classes.
  • Sitting down with your planner and colored pens to color-coordinate my schedule. I think I get way too excited.
  • Going to Target and ONLY spending $20.00. Seriously unheard of.
  • Finding fun toys at Target. Unfortunately, this is not what I spent the $20.00 on.

Sucks

  • Going to the doctor and having multiple tests done to find the cause of your pain is… absolutely stupid. That's all the details I'm givin… 'cause it's THAT stupid.
  • Not knowing how to introduce a friend to a group of other friends. You stutter and make it all unnecessarily awkward. Then that friend later asks you what the problem was… yea… sorry about that.
  • Changing clothes in a public restroom. I rarely do this, but I had to twice this week. There's special skill involved in the process of not touching the floor with bare feet. Ew.
  • Waiting for papers to be graded. My professor is taking For Ev Vor! <-- Said in the Sandlot voice.

Super Suck Sunday

SUPER

  • Another quarter down. This one was brutal, and I'm proud of myself for surviving it.
  • To celebrate the end of this horrid quarter, drinking, venting and discussing boobs with fabulous women is the best therapy.
  • Spring Forward. It's now going to be lighter out longer!! And that's just super!
  • A week from today, I will be playing in my first game!!!

SUCKS

  • I've been a complete grad student zombie the past week. This means: I ate rice krispies for dinner, I frequently forgot to wash my hair, I rarely hung out with Noah, and I wore the same sweats for a straight week. Now that I think about it, being a grad student is a lot like a bad break up.
  • Not knowing what shoes to wear. The day I decided to wear flats and leave the boots at home, it SNOWS! I had frozen feet the entire day. Damn weather.
  • The feeling of running, or being late. I am usually a very punctual person, but lately sleep has been scarce and it's hard for me to get up in the morning. I literally have a semi-conscious conversation with myself as I am still in bed. Chris, you need to get up. Just a few more minutes. No, really… get up. You are going to be late. It's okay, I'll just be late.
  • I have the most annoying cat in the world. There's a show, My Cat From Hell… yeah, he should be on it. He just whines and cries… all the time! I need to get him on the show.

This is exactly what Remedy does. Little bastard….

Super Suck Sunday

SUPER

  • The feeling of accomplishment. Last week was hectic… but with some planning and patience, I feel like I conquered the week.
  • The MUTE botton on the T.V. and phone. Fabulous solution to loud commercials, or needing to flush the toilet. Yes, sometimes I do pee and talk on the phone.
  • Birthdays and holidays. This week we get to celebrate both! The boy is a Valentine's Day baby. He gets two cards and some extra love on Tuesday.
  • Got a new tattoo in the works. Just figuring out the details.

SUCKS

  • People who choose the isle seat on the bus, so no one can get the window seat. You people are just rude.
  • That sticky-cold-sweaty-feeling you get when it's cold outside, so you're all bundled up, but you're running around so you get hot. Does that happen to anyone else? Just me?
  • Group papers. They say the purpose is to strengthen your group skills, but I think that's a total crock. I've been working in groups since kindergarden; I get it!
  • The loss of an amazing artist. I will always love you, Whitney.

Super Suck Sunday

I am doing the SUCK first, because the Super is just too SUPER to followup with stuff that sucks… Anyways…

SUCK

  • Not drinking enough water before Hot Yoga. I mean, the 90 minute class's intention is for you to suffer and push yourself, but this was just ridiculous. I was so parched and off balanced. I will NEVER do that again!
  • The temperature was 28 degrees the other morning. The complete reverse feeling of hot yoga. I wouldn't care as much if I didn't have to let the dog out into the frigid morning. I felt bad for him! Would YOU want to crawl out of your warm bed and pee in below 30 degree weather? Probably not.
  • Starbucks people are supposed to be the best, right? You know, star quality? Why can't they figure out my beverage? I only change one thing about it, but they just can't get it right! Really screws up my morning.
  • The Oregon Ducks lost last night. The game was so intense and stressful that for a majority of the game I was pacing back and forth in front of the T.V. After they lost, I got a bloody nose. Seriously… a bloody frickin nose. Noah can vouch for me; no lie.

SUPER

  • Thanksgiving is next week. This is an easy one. Not only do I get to partake in the eating-until-you-can't-eat-one-more-bite-then-take-a-nap-and-eat-some-more tradition, but the boy and I get to go home and be with our families. Now THAT's something to be thankful for.
  • Roller Derby! I love it. I love pushing myself. I love the community that I have been welcomed in to. We get uniforms soon, and I have applied for my Derby name. Apparently the application of a derby name is a pretty big deal. Who knew?
  • We get our first produce box tomorrow morning! We will now be getting our produce from local farms, and it's delivered right to our door. Check it out: Full Circle Farm
  • Things that seem to just happen serendipitously. Okay, so for you to fully understand how crazy this is, I must give you the backstory.  BACKSTORY:  My Saturday class usually gets out at 4 PM. The night before, my professor let's us know that we will only be going until 12:30, as he has to go out of state. I had been wanting to buy a book, but couldn't decide if I wanted a hardcopy, or if I wanted to just buy it on my iPad (I know.. tough decision). Instead of heading straight home after class, I decided to go to the University Bookstore. I have a Gift Card and figured I can just buy the book. As I am standing in front of the rack of books, I see there is a line forming. I ask the lady in front of me what it's for. With a smile she says, "It's for the book you're holding. Mindy will be here at 2." I look at my watch. It's ten after one. "What? Mindy is coming HERE?" The lady responds with, "Yeah! She's going to sign books! Go buy one, I'll hold your spot!" My spot just happened to be tenth in line. The women (almost the entire line of about 200 people, were women) around me asked me if I had any idea. I didn't! NO IDEA. I just wanted to buy her book! The story gets better….

So, there I was. About to meet Mindy Kaling from NBC's The Office. I walk up, I have my book ready for her to sign, and my phone ready for this awesome photo opportunity. She (as in Mindy) says, "Oh my gosh, I love your scarf! And look at your nails! They're like mine! We're sparkle twins!"*Her and I both had sparkly nail polish on. Almost identical shades.

At this point I am completely starstruck. Not only am I in front of someone who I watch on T.V. every Thursday night, but she is complimenting me! SHUT.UP. We pose for the picture.

I just happened to be in the right place, at the most perfect time. If my professor wouldn't have shortened the day, if I would have decided to purchase it on my iPad or elsewhere. If I would have decided to go straight home. Crazy. And so random…

Here's the proof:

I am about 150 pages into her (autographed) book and it's hilarious. Even if you aren't an Office fan, if you're a chick and like to laugh… read this book. Even if you don't like to laugh, this book would be good for you.

Super Suck Sunday

SUPER

  • People remembering my name at my Practicum. I am only there once a week and it's a HUGE office. Having someone remember my name is a pretty big deal!
  • I had my 5th Roller Derby practice today and I am still loving it! I have decided to keep it up and hope to join a team by January!
  • Due to a recent post, my mother told me what I will be unwrapping this Christmas! Oh so excited! So many recipes to try out!!
  • Tomorrow is Halloween!! We half celebrated last night with spooky cocktails, a little dress up and a Halloween inspired burlesque show. Tomorrow I will be helping out with trick-or-treaters and get to face paint for the little ones. That will be a blast!

That's an eyeball in my drink. Eeek!

Get it? Tooth…. Fairy!!

I even had fairy dust in my poach.

SUCKS

  • We took Theo to the vet and he's got a virus. *sad face* He's on a weeks worth of medications. Pretty sucky.
  • Going to the grocery store to get all the fixins to spend the night baking…and forgetting eggs, foil and pumpkin. Disaster. Oh, and running out of cupcake liners.
  • Getting a hole in your brand new socks. That sucks, right? They're BRAND FRICKIN' NEW!
  • Not being prepared for Seattle rain. I guess it's that time of the year to wear a jacket equipped with a hood and carry an umbrella. On the bright side, what's the likelihood of finding your umbrella twin in a busy city?

Super Suck Sunday

SUPER

  • All the makings of Fall. The cool crisp mornings, the changing leaves, and the pumpkins all make me very, very happy.
  • I am actually getting used to being in the office at 7AM. I have my routine down. Of course, I am completely coffee dependent…but at least I am functional.
  • Finding two new healthy addictions: Roller Derby and Hot Yoga! Both have made me sore and sweat like a pig, but it feels fantastic! My hopes are someday to be apart of the Rat City Roller Girls. Check out their awesomeness:

  • Spending a day with my Dad! We got to shoot the crap outa some targets, and we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal. I didn't know I was such a good shot!
Our Targets

Dad, Tina & Noah

Pops & I

Noah - shootin crap

I've never looked so tough.

SUCKS

  • Crying at almost every court sentencing I go to. I am told that it's good that I get emotional, because it means I care and still have a heart. Really? Watching a 2 year old wave goodbye to her father who was just sentenced to 15 years in prison HAS to illicit some emotion, right?
  • Now that I have stated my dependence on coffee - doesn't it suck when your coffee sucks? I spent many years working as a barista, and I know how to make a damn good latte'. When I take that first sip and it's bitter, weak, burnt or all the above… I'm pretty upset.
  • Sitting in 115 degree heat and 40% humidity and you hear the words, "Don't drink any water". I'm sorry, what? My mouth was officially desert status - all I wanted was water!!
  • Restaurants that have AWFUL vegetarian options!!! It's absolutely frustrating when the only thing you can eat (without modifying everything) is a salad! Stay tuned to future posts on this matter.

Super Suck Sunday (On a Monday)

Super

  • Although I am nervous about starting my second year of school, I am overly excited for my classes this Fall. I think they will be amazing!
  • Finding a new recipe - thanks to my obsession with bloggers. I found the recipe at this site. They're called 'Individual Raspberry Cobblers', but the boy said they look more like Raspberry Volcanoes. My first batch is currently in the oven. YUM!
  • The weather man says it is supposed to be 80 degrees and higher all week. Oh my goodness! That means no excuse for not biking to work!
  • This goes without saying - but I must say it: A three day weekend! Woohoo! It was absolutely fabulous! We got to stay up late, we got to sleep in. We went to the Fair, we went for a hike, we went for walks and enjoyed ice cream in the sunshine… it couldn't have been better.
I had never ridden a Farris Wheel before, and I always dreamed of kissing a boy on one.

A picture of the view, and finally, my dream came true.

This is where we hiked to. A 2.5 mile RT hike to the Puget Sound.

Theo, enjoying the beach.
Licking my glasses? Seriously?

Sucks

  • Well, obviously getting your glasses licked by a pup isn't too super. But almost losing your glasses while upside down on a Fair ride… well, that sucked.
  • Having to call 911 for a client in crisis.
  • Going into a stall that already has a toilet seat cover on it. Gross. Honestly, I usually just turn around and pick another stall. I like to make my own nest, thank you.
  • When you forget to grab a towel before getting into the shower. The only thing you can do is walk your wet naked ass to the linen closet…sucks.

Super Suck Sunday

SUPER

  • Enjoying a wonderful weekend with no responsibility or obligations. Yummy meals, movies and lounging. I didn't even mind doing laundry.
  • Catching someone do something super embarrassing. C'mon, it's funny! I saw a guy picking his nose while at a red light. Seriously, he was digging. Not like that episode of Seinfeld.

  • Having an awesome co-worker that leaves bottles of wine on your desk. A-mazing! This is about the third or fourth time that he's done it, so I am hoping it's become a habit.
  • Ditching out of work a few hours early and walking the few blocks to Pike Place. Even though the crowds are predictably overwhelming, I love the atmosphere.

SUCKS

  • That cold and hot feeling you get when you have a sunburn. Your skin is hot, but then you get the shivers. What is that all about?
  • Hearing an ice-cream truck, but never seeing it. Pure. Torture. I had cash and everything!
  • Scratches on your favorite CD. Sure puts a damper on car rides.
  • I couldn't think of another SUCKS, so I asked the Boy and he said, "back pain." He's been under the influence of prescribed narcotics for a week now - so yes, that sucks!

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Super Suck Sunday

Super

  • Completing my first year of grad school. I survived!
  • I get to go home next weekend! A visit to the coast is long overdue, and I'm counting down the seconds until my feet are in the sand.
  • The simple pleasures of a Sunday morning. Getting to sleep in, waking up to a sweet note, relaxing with the pup…and watching a marathon of Sex and the City. Super.
  • Celebrating a bachelorette! Going to a Red Sox game, AND riding a mechanical bull. I lasted a lot longer than I thought I would, but my thighs are feeling it.

Miss Emily. She'll be a married woman in four days!

This nice guy politely asked me if I would like him to stop the bull if my ass shows.
Obviously I didn't think through wearing a dress, but luckily I chose the right kind of underwear.

Sucks

  • Forgetting to zip your fly. I don't know why, and I don't know how… but for about three days now, I have been caught with my fly down. How does that happen? Small degree of embarrassment.
  • Getting a J-walking ticket. I didn't get one, but I watched a girl get handed one. Super sucks, right? Might just be better to wait for the light.
  • Having a GPS that does the opposite of what it's supposed to do: it gets you lost. I'm terrible at directions as it is, I need my British girl to be reliable!
  • The weekend is over already….

Sunday, August 7, 2011

Super Suck Sunday

Super

  • Friends you know you can call no matter what. The friends who know you better than you know yourself. The friends that will call you out on your shit, or talk you up when you're feeling down.
  • Knowing that I have chosen a path I am passionate about. I met with my practicum advisor this week, and our conversation made me realize (once again) how much I love this work. It's easy to lose sight of my purpose when I can't see past all of the paper writing and article reading. I need to remind myself why I have chosen this path.
  • The butterflies I got when the Boy came home after being gone a week.
  • A wonderfully gorgeous day that allowed a bike ride. Seriously, cycling has got to be the goofiest looking sport (calling it a sport can be debated), but it sure is fun!

Sucks

  • Traffic. The two things people complain about in Seattle is the rain AND the traffic. Yes, they both suck.
  • Burning you tongue on your morning coffee…. so then your tongue is raw and numb to anything else you want to enjoy. Super sucky way to start the day.
  • Running out of your free Pandora music. Seriously, didn't know it could happen. Apparently if you listen to too much free music, they will cut you off.
  • Being really excited for a new restaurant, and having it completely SUCK. The Authentic Chinese place, was just a little too authentic. They have a lovely website, but don't eat at the Zen Garden.

Super Suck Sunday

SUPER

  • Sandal suntans
  • The feeling of something warm coming out of the dryer. I washed my favorite comforter, and wrapped it around me as it came out of the dryer. So cozy!!
  • Finding a new little restaurant. A few friends of mine discovered a little wine place - it was incredible. Delicious wines, cheeses, baguettes, olives and great conversation. Fabulous way to end a day of class.
  • Speaking of comforters…. I stepped into Athropologie today and fell in LOVE with THIS BEDDING SET . If anyone is wanting to get me something…at ANY time… consider this! Isn't it absolutely stunning?

SUCKS

  • My cRaZy ass agenda: Work Mondays-Thursdays, Practicum Fridays, School Saturday, and …. RELAX on Sundays. Most of the time I'm on Robot mode…
  • Eating a pound of Rainer Cherries in one sitting. Why does that suck you ask? The cherries were gone.
  • Vacuums
  • Sitting in your car at a red light… minding your own damn business… rocking out to a little Bob Dylan… and all of a sudden… through your sunroof….a birds aims perfectly enough…  ands shits on your arm. double-u tee eff.

Sunday, July 17, 2011

Super Suck Sunday

Super

  • First Farmer's Market of the Summer (though not much of a Summer). I bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and some delicious Rainer Cherries.
  • Getting an email from a very happy client who is gracious for the work that I have done for him. Feels good to know the work I do means something.
  • Sleeping in. The boy was nice enough to let me sleep in this morning. Not seeing a clock until almost 10 AM was absolutely incredible.
  • Lintrollers. AMAZING invention. My cat loves to lay on all my black clothes. Literally… those are the only clothes he will lay on. Asshole.
  • Juicers. Ever get a whole cutting board full of fruits and vegetables into one glass? The boy purchased a juicer last week after watching Fat Sick and Nearly Dead (he's such a sucker). It's a pretty good documentary - you should watch it. See the trailer below:

Sucks

  • Cravings. I have been trying to choose the more healthy route, but Friday was a true test. The bakery next to my Practicum is amazing…muffins, brownies, scones and buns were calling my name. I was strong and chose fresh fruit. Seriously….now that's willpower.
  • Homework and school in general. Procrastination has been getting the better of me. It's effing Summer (sorta)! I do not want to be writing papers and reading articles…. nope.
  • It's July 17th. It's currently overcast, raining and 50 Degrees outside. Enough. Said.
  • I know it's my own damn fault, but it's really frustrating when I can't find my stuff in the morning. Nothing is more irritating than when I can't find my belt, or my cardigan…or my other shoe.
  • Junk mail and phone books suck!! Not only are they unwanted and completely unnecessary, but they are a waste of paper. So - here's what you can do:

Where to recycle? Click HERE
How to opt out of receiving phone books? Click HERE

Super Suck Sunday (On a Monday)

I must note that I have been under the influence of prescription narcotics for the past 4 days - and much of the following is a result of such a mindset.

Super

  • Blogging. Reading blogs, and blogging myself has been a great way to spend my time while I have been permanently horizontal on the couch.
  • For similar reasons - ON DEMAND is amazing! Instantly watching a movie, or catching up on shows I never watch, nor have EVER wanted to watch is great! Currently, I am watching the Bachelorette. Seriously… this show is ridiculous.
  • Insurance. I feel so grateful for having a job that provides me with benefits. My prescriptions are under $1!!!
  • Having a guy that will take care of you. The Boy has been amazing (yes, I am doing a little shout-out). He has been bringing me food (and flowers), making sure I am taking my medicine, helping me ice my chipmunk face, and even has the patience when I get super frustrated and start crying….he's been fabulous.

Suck

  • I just have to get it out there - getting your wisdom teeth out… SUCKS!! I now realize what people were saying when they told me the recovery is worse than the procedure. I don't even remember the procedure. My jaw is achy, the pills make me dizzy and sleepy, and by the end of all this I will never want to eat pudding again. Oh, and the fact that I can't suck through a straw…SUPER SUCKS!
  • Watching "Chick Flicks" without your chicks. I miss my girlie friends.
  • When your fingernails don't grow at the same rate, so they are all different lengths. OR when they are the same length, and you break one. I am trying really hard not to bite them all off.
  • Not having enough hands to carry everything I need over to the couch. Lately, I have been high maintenance. I need my water bottle, pills, phone, iPad, my blanket and my dog. I can't carry all that in one trip - But I sure will try.

Super Suck Sunday

Super

  • $4000 magically appeared in my bank account. I frantically made a few calls (thinking there must have been a mistake) and  found out I received a Fellowship award! :)
  • FINALLY getting my awesome UW SSW Sweatshirt. Check it!
  • This must have been "Get cool new purple clothes week" because I also got this neat shirt!
Want this cool shirt? Click HERE!
  • Children who are super cool. This video cracks me up:
"I feel happy with myself!"

Sucks
  • Having flowers delivered to your office and they aren't for you. Huge tease. C'mon… who does't want surprise flowers?
  • Cheap Q-Tips…or should I say, cotton swabs. Never go with the generic brand- they fall apart in your ear, your eye and on your toes.
  • Pulling heels out of the closet, and thinking "why don't I wear these?" Then, 3 hours later… your feet remind you why.
  • Spending the first gloriously-sunny-hot day in a room with no windows….for 6 hours! We all just pretended it was snowing.
